We welcome you to Obsidian Fist, a newly-founded Kenpo Karate school that consists of online coaching as well as in-person tutoring and coaching at dojos. We teach a modified form of Ohana (Hawaiian-American) Kenpo Karate, that has come to grow, expand, and progress in the training and conditioning, with influence from Japanese Judo and Kyokushin. We teach martial arts and all of its qualities; self-defense, discipline, integrity, respect, conditioning, strength, and honour. We teach both self-defense and competition styles. Whether you are in the dojo, in a gym, or in your garage, we are here to teach you, mentor you, coach you, and give you the strength you need.

We were founded in Colmesneil, Texas.

Our self‑defense (Kung Fu focused Kenpo) classes are completely free. If you’re interested in traditional or competitive Kenpo Karate, the annual tuition is $150 (price flexible), but you may receive a trial lesson if you wish. Belt tests are around $20, stripe tests are free, and dan tests are $5. Payments are itemized and we will not charge you more than necessary.
